For those who love history. The museum presents traditional buildings and household items of the Belarusian village. One can feel the love and care with which the museum's exhibits were collected and restored. The very wood from which the walls are built makes an impression. The exhibition, built in the form of a village with houses, outbuildings, churches, a school and a tavern, gives an idea of the life and activities of our ancestors. The territory is very large. You can take to the sky by paraglider and look at the museum from a height. It's a very atmospheric and nice place!

I was with a girl. We were left with a good impression. We walked for 3 hours on the territory of the museum. The museum area is huge. We looked with special interest at all the exhibits and places where the whole way of life and culture of that time were transmitted. There is such an atmosphere there that it feels like time has just frozen. It will be very interesting for those who are interested in Slavic culture or it is just a good place for those who want to have a great time. Highly recommend it! This is a must-visit place.

We visited the museum during the May holidays, and we really enjoyed everything. There weren't a lot of people, which is strange. We had a delicious meal at the inn for a very reasonable price. I especially liked the Barani Church, Timoshkovo farm and the wreath yards in the museum complex. The people working at these locations made the best impression. Special thanks to the employee of the wreath yard for the master classes on straw weaving, spinning linen thread and weaving a bracelet on a berdo. If possible, I would like to see more of these activities.

It's a good museum, the ticket is not expensive, you need your own ticket for a photo shoot. The territory is large, there are plenty of locations for photo shoots, and very colorful ones. You should not touch the exhibits indoors, as you cannot. But it's fine without that. Plenty of space, great on clear days, to wander through the meadows, watch/ride horses. There is an authentic-style cafe on site, the price tag is about average Minsk. It's served on an earthenware dish, and apparently it's cooked in an oven. Delicious. There is also an active church on the territory. Hang-gliding fields. In general, I was extremely satisfied. There weren't many people, so I enjoyed the tranquility, the rustle of leaves, the chirping of birds and the chirping of bugs. In the buildings, the smell of wood unblocked the memory of my grandmother's house in the village. Pleasant.

The idea of combining samples of rural houses and churches in one place with reference to regions is good. A lot of restoration work, original exhibits. There is very little description of the exhibits for individual visits, and access to the living quarters is limited everywhere. Some facilities are closed. With a small number of visitors, the high prices in the stylized tavern are surprising (a portion of draniki is 25 rubles). The complex requires development, as the area allows.

The territory is large, there are benches for relaxation. The staff will tell you everything at the locations, you can ask them questions. We learned a lot of interesting things about the tricks and conduct of everyday life in the past. We met grazing horses - it was very picturesque. The goats and sheep were fed. There is a cafe "Korchma" with national cuisine, but on Wednesday they do not have them (tinctures, kvass, etc.) drinks, they do on Mondays, according to the woman who takes our order. But! For some reason, the people who came after us were offered a shot down, but we were told that it was not there... The situation remained unclear to me, we were offered only Americano, tea and soft drinks (bonaqua, cola, etc.). Of the dishes, I did not like the shingles in a pot, very fatty and machanka. There was delicious hodgepodge and bread that they bake themselves.

I was at the Museum Night. The impressions are different. I enjoyed the performance of the choir from Nizhny Novgorod and the dance master class. In addition, there were witchers and knights, games and activities. The show of the designer collection is so-so, not a show, disappointed. The cafe closed at 19, although it would seem - work until 22, feed the guests. It was good street food, I took potatoes with chicken, and herbal tea. Since there's only one food point, there's a queue. It's good to be at least close to the stage - you can hear and see. The musicians have worked out the norms, although sometimes they can't make out a single word they're shouting. Dancing on the dance floor is something new for me, it went off with a bang, especially the first one was a success. The trouble with toilets is the usual bio-cabins with a smell. It's good that at least there is. There is practically no lighting, it is dark after 22. On the one hand, I want at least one flashlight, on the other - authentic and sincere, especially since they warned on the website - take flashlights. I liked the bonfire at the end, and the music at the disco too.

The Museum of Architecture and Everyday Life in the Lake made a huge impression on me. This is a place where time seems to slow down, and you can feel the breath of history in every corner. The atmosphere here is special: the silence, spaciousness and harmony of nature with architecture create the feeling of a journey into the past. I especially liked how carefully the old buildings were preserved — wooden houses, outbuildings, mills. Every detail has been thought out and restored with love, so you can not just look at the exhibits, but literally live a moment from the life of our ancestors. Walking through the territory, you feel that this is not a museum in the usual sense, but a whole world where the traditional way of life comes to life. The tour was very informative: the museum staff tells fascinating stories, with their hearts, and it is clear that they themselves sincerely love this place. Thanks to their stories, I learned a lot about the way of life, traditions and culture of Belarusian villages. Separately, I would like to note the atmosphere of the holidays and events that are held here. Folk songs, craft workshops, fairs — all this makes the museum lively and modern, and not just an "open-air exhibition". For me, visiting the Lake has become a real rest for the soul. Here you can not only touch the history, but also feel the connection with the roots, feel the beauty of simplicity and harmony. I will definitely come back here again and I advise everyone who appreciates culture and history to find time for this trip.

The museum left an ambiguous impression. What's good: inexpensive entrance fees, large territory, stylized houses, a lot to see and learn from historical nuances. A lot of things impress and make you look at your life in a different way. What's bad: terrible toilets, I've never seen this anywhere! Some locations don't work, there's nowhere to buy even water, let alone have a snack, there's no description in the huts at all! I don't think that people under 40 or even 50 know at least some names and why all these rustic devices were needed.

I was very impressed by the museum, as if I was in my childhood with my grandmother in the village. The territory is huge - more than 150 hectares. There is a tavern with Belarusian dishes. Cool! We were absolutely delighted with the museum, despite the heat of 30 degrees. Very atmospheric! It was like we were really in that time. It was interesting to see how people used to live. It's definitely worth a visit. There are guided tours, but we just stared, everything is clear there without stories. They wanted to ride horses, but it's hard for them in this heat. An interesting point, which has not been described anywhere (you should have asked, of course): behind the mill there is a path down through the forest, to the side of it stands a small monument and it says that a woman died at the hands of a murderer in 1990. And I wonder how she was significant for this museum? Who knows, please tell us!))

The museum leaves a very good impression. The vast territory is divided into natural regions of the Republic of Belarus: the Center and the locality, the Dnieper River, the Lake district, and the Ponmont region. The most characteristic buildings that the people used in their lives were moved from the regions and restored: city houses, rural estates richer and poorer, a village school, a Uniate church and several unique Orthodox churches, komory, punya, a forge, three mills, a threshing floor and many others. All the facilities are filled with household items, agricultural implements, and old machinery for agricultural work. All natural, in excellent condition. There is an old tavern that works and you can have a delicious meal there, having tasted dishes of national cuisine. The place is so bright that the filmmakers don't come out. In particular, the film "In August of the 44th" and the TV series "Narkomovsky wagon train" were shot there. The last filming ended in March of this year. On the territory of the museum there is an aviation club where you can fly a trike, and there is also a stable where you can book a horse ride. The ticket price is 12.5 rubles, they work from 11 to 17. And the last thing: the exposition is wonderful, "Dudutki", this new model, cannot be compared with the state museum. I recommend it to everyone, you won't regret it!

An absolutely stunning atmospheric place! The price is reasonable, the price for children is 2 times less than an adult ticket. The territory is large, green meadows and forests are pleasing to the eye. The children were immediately attracted by sheep, goats, geese, they stand at the entrance to the pen and bleat invitingly, you can give them herbs. There are a lot of houses, and we couldn't even get around them in 3 hours of careful visiting. Thanks to Eugenia, the enthusiastic caretaker of one of the museums, we learned a lot about everyday objects, thank her for that!

A great place to spend a weekend in nature near Minsk, there is Parking. Large territory, very interesting exhibitions. There is a restaurant-tavern, generally not bad, you can have lunch. It will take at least 3 hours to view all the exposures. It will be interesting for both adults and children. One of the wishes: one of the mills is falling apart before our eyes, I would like to fix it... The museum is amazing, I've been here twice.:summer and winter. The territory is huge, not far from Minsk, the prices are not biting, as in other popular places. It's all about everyday life, the exhibits are collected from different parts of Belarus, even the vegetable gardens were laid out in the summer. I advise you to look at the website, they periodically conduct interesting free thematic excursions: on January 5 they talked about kalyadki, on January 10 they will talk about Shchedriki.

The place that impressed me the most during my trip to Minsk ! And this is in winter when it snows and -8... 😅 A very fascinating exhibition, divided into geographical and thematic zones, which you go through as an ethnographic quest! The caretakers will talk with pleasure, awe and great skill about crafts and everyday life. There is a cozy tavern on site where the food is delicious, and the locals also sell delicious traditional handmade souvenirs (so grab some cash, you'll probably want to buy some of these touching gizmos). It's a great place, especially in terms of price-quality ratio. The ticket is inexpensive, the huge territory, the excellent preservation of the houses and the exposition in each of them. There are few people, and there are many in such an area - it will not be noticeable. The inn was not appreciated - there was a queue. But we had food with us, and we comfortably ate it in the gazebo for absolutely free. Toilets are the main disadvantage. Only bio toilets work and they are very dirty and smelly. That's a minus point. Otherwise, I recommend it. There is something to do - in addition to the exhibition, you can ride horses, feed goats and sheep and chat with ponies. There are also flights on delta planes. Of course, all this is for a fee.

From my trip to Belarus, I can say for sure that visiting the museum was very impressive. Perhaps I associated these places with the films that were shot there) During our visit, a war film was shot in the village and we were lucky to see a hut and an area without fences, go inside and touch it with our own hands. There were caretakers in the rest of the huts and it was possible to inspect the decoration only at the front door. Visitors to the museum wrote that the caretakers didn't know much and couldn't answer questions. We were lucky again - we got answers to all the questions, everyone was affectionate and attentive. As for national clothes , I agree , it would be very cool and immersion in the atmosphere of that time would be more complete. We went to the tavern for a drink. Prices , it seems to me , are the same as everywhere else . The toilet is decent.

Visited on August 22. I liked the museum. It is located near Minsk, it is convenient to drive. Parking is normal, but we were on a business day. But on weekends there may be a problem with seats. The place is beautiful, the route is on foot, all the impressions are in the photo. You can wander a lot. The visit should be counted for half a day. After or during a walk, you will definitely want to have a snack. The cafe is very nice. The cuisine is traditional Belarusian. There is also an open part in the hut. We were in the open. A great place to spend a weekend with the whole family. The museum is located on a vast open-air territory, it is quiet and green all around - there is a place to walk. I also really liked the exposition of chests and barrels. You can eat at the inn. Horse riding is possible on the territory of the museum. We were at the museum on Palm Sunday. I really liked it because it was warm and interesting. Willow twigs were decorated at the master class, and then the priest came and we illuminated them, and also found out what the ancestors did with the willow afterwards. The museum itself has a fairly large territory. There are many houses with full interiors. We ate in the Tavern. It was delicious, but expensive for these portions. We will definitely come again to ride horses on the territory.

There are disadvantages: some caretaker employees leave their facilities, gather in a bunch, and even close them. At best, you can view the contents from the doorway. A stunning open-air complex. It is interesting to see the exposition (and it is very large!), and just take a walk and eat at a local tavern. It is very quiet and peaceful, ideal for relaxing and recovering from the rhythms of the metropolis. There is ample free parking in front of the museum. I recommend you to visit!

It's quite an interesting place, but the organization of space suffers, houses are scattered over a large area in small numbers, and even if the subject is divided into regions, it's a long way to get to the next buildings. It is worth going right in the morning and spending the whole day at this place to take a quiet walk. Quite spontaneously, we saw the location of the mill on the maps. It became very interesting. We arrived, and it turned out to be a museum. Extensive well-maintained territory, where it was a pleasure to walk! We also found out for ourselves that there are horseback riding and flying trips. We were closed, but we managed to see the surroundings in all the buildings. We'll definitely come back when it's warm! I would also like the cat to be cared for and fed. She is very thin and sickly. I can't say about the organizational aspects that are being written about in negative reviews. We haven't encountered anything like this.

The museum is divided into three parts: "Central Belarus", "Dnieper region", "Poozerye". I really liked the fact that all the wooden buildings were brought from different parts of Belarus. The image of the old village has been recreated. It is interesting to see the difference in the layout of buildings in different parts of the country. It's a very large territory, which is both a plus and a minus. It must be borne in mind that you will have to walk a lot. I enjoyed walking for a long time, but it seemed to interrupt the overall picture of the village. Maybe in the future, when the museum is supplemented with buildings, the locations will be more complete. I wish everything was a little more compact. We didn't have enough operating places where we could see how they were engaged in any traditional crafts. There was a small pen with sheep, geese, and chickens at the entrance to the museum, and a goat and young goats were grazing a little further away. I wanted it to be somewhere closer to an improvised village. Like in a real village, you have a house here, livestock here, and a fair nearby. This would add liveliness and even more atmosphere to this place. I also didn't have a washbasin where I could wash my hands. The territory is large, the toilets are only bio, but here's how to wash your hands, especially if with a child. But despite all this, it's a beautiful authentic place that should be, especially for the next generations. It reminded me of my childhood, of my grandparents. In general, we liked it, and I think we should return there in a few years to see how the museum has changed and grown.

A wonderful open-air museum of architecture and everyday life. A large area to which buildings of previous years were brought from all over Belarus. The museum features houses from villages and towns of different times, a school, churches, mills, a tailor's house and much more. You can enter every house and immerse yourself in the atmosphere of that time and experience everyday life. There is also a tavern on site where you can enjoy delicious Belarusian cuisine. I was especially captivated by the desserts. Many historical and military films were shot on the territory of the museum. A great place for outdoor activities with family or friends.

A wonderful and unusual museum like Skansen. The vast territories create a sense of a unique world that preserves the peculiarities of Belarusian nature and everyday life. I would especially like to thank the staff who are really passionate about their work, know a lot and tell interesting stories. We were lucky enough to get to an action dedicated to herbs. The guide was beyond praise, and folk games and dancing to live music at the end pleasantly complemented the day.

My favorite museum. Everything was done with a soul, and the museum staff will be happy to tell you about everything. Various holidays are often held. The only drawback is that there is only one tavern, when the holidays are over, you expect more places where you can eat or drink hot. On Shrovetide 2026, serving pancakes was simply shameful, and there was nowhere else to buy them there. Otherwise, everything is fine, we visit here regularly.

A great open-air museum. It's a good idea to conduct the introduction in your native language (not everything was clear, but it was interesting and atmospheric). It's a pity that not all the staff are enthusiastic about helping tourists learn about the history of everyday life in Belarus. We were lucky in the buildings of the Threshing Floor, the Holy Transfiguration Church and, especially, the Intercession Church. Employees of other facilities chatted with each other, clicked sunflower seeds, or stuck in their phones. In general, they would not have been needed if there had been at least some brief information on the signs.
