A neat park. Well maintained. A small pond or lake in the middle. You can walk, but nothing outstanding. There's nothing to do in it for a lot of time. If you just sit on benches or walk around the lake. There is a zone of children's attractions, but they leave much to be desired in terms of quality ( I would rather take it not to a park, but to a square. Next to the dolphinarium park, you can see from the park how the seals are fed (they have an aviary facing the park).

The zoo is small, but the animals are all well-groomed. And the monument to the first Georgian woman aviator Fadiko next to the colonnade became a landmark for us in Old Batumi)

The 6th of May Park is the oldest in Batumi. It was founded in 1881 and named Alexandrovsky in 1888 in honor of Emperor Alexander III, who visited Batumi and planted a magnolia tree in this garden. This historic magnolia tree is still growing, not far from the main entrance from Melikishvili Street, at the intersection with Abashidze Street behind the colonnade. But there is no exact information in the park, the tree is not specifically marked anywhere. When we came to the park for the first time (it was in October), we identified several suitable trees in this old part of the green area. They asked the passing "old-timers", no one knew for sure. Arriving again in June, I showed photos of trees to our guide during a city tour, and he had already selected the right photo. In Soviet times, the park was renamed Urban, and in 2006 it received its current name in memory of the peaceful "rose revolution" in Adjara in 2004. Adjara, led by Aslan Abashidze, refused to submit to Tbilisi's control, withholding customs and revenues from the Batumi port. But on May 6, 2004, as a result of mass protests, Abashidze left his post, and Georgia, after which Adjara returned to the control of the central government. You can enter the park from different directions. We also entered from Rustaveli Avenue after visiting the Aquarium and from Gorgilazde Street. Although the park is small (16 hectares), it is well equipped for recreation. Green, shady. Lake Nurigel is located in the center, it is of natural origin, and is connected to the sea by a small channel. You can take a ride on the lake in a rented boat. Our guide claimed that there is a rare species of trout in this lake. There is a mini zoo in the corner. The park has an original Hanging Stone fountain, a sundial, sculptures and art objects, and many flowers. Nicely.
