The bridges of the Tsarskaya Road in Belovezhskaya Pushcha are a landmark that has been preserved since the time of Emperor Alexander III. There are 10 bridges on the Belarusian side of the Forest. The road was built on the instructions of Nicholas II and by the time it was opened on August 25, 1903, the road was paved with cobblestones and was one of the strategic roads. Today, the cobblestones are hidden under the asphalt, and the highway itself has become part of the general system of roads running through the national park. The railings of ancient bridges are decorated with the coat of arms of the Russian Empire with the monogram of Emperor Alexander III, since it was during his reign that Belovezhskaya Pushcha became the property of the royal family. Emperor Nicholas II himself and his wife Alexandra Feodorovna took part in the opening of the Tsarskoye highway. An iconic, powerful place, I made a wish.
