Terms of Use of Yandex Search API

This document contains specific Terms of Use of Yandex Search API (“the Service”) and is an integral part of Yandex.Cloud Customer Agreement (”Agreement”) and Service Terms set forth at https://yandex.com/legal/cloud_service_terms. Capitalized terms used herein but not defined herein shall have the meanings set forth in Agreement and Linked Documents.

1. Functional Features of the Service

1.1. Yandex provides the Customer with the Service that allows make queries in XML format to the search engine of the Limited Liability Company "YANDEX" (Registration number: 1027700229193 / Tax number: 7736207543).

1.2. Functional features of the Service are described in Documentation on Site.

1.3. Service Level is determined for the Service in accordance with SLA.

1.4. Customer confirms consent with the terms of “License to use Yandex Search Engine” set forth at https://yandex.com/legal/termsofuse/.

2. Pricing

2.1. The use of the Service is chargeable.

2.2. Service Fee for the Service is determined as per Service Rates and billing units specified on Site. Yandex may change Service Rates as prescribed by Agreement.

2.3. Yandex may from time to time provide Customer with additional functional features of the Service for an additional fee.

2.4. As part of the Service, Customer may be offered special prices and discounts to be published on Site and/or Management Console (if applicable).

3. Additional terms

3.1. The Service envisages a number of restrictions listed in the Quotas and Limits section of the Site.

3.2. It is allowed to send XML requests and use XML search results for the purpose of their use on the Customer’s website. The placement of XML search results is allowed in any design (design), but without alteration of results order.

3.3. Any usage of automatic or semiautomatic solutions, designed to change browser default search engine settings and/or browser default home page settings in favor of a page, that uses Yandex.XML or redirects to a page, that uses Yandex.XML, is prohibited. An automatic or semiautomatic solution is any solution, that is not assuming an act of manual change of the mentioned settings by a browser user himself.

3.4. The search results may differ for cases when the request is made through the Service and set manually by the Customer.

3.5. It is prohibited to make automatic requests to the search engine of the Limited Liability Company "YANDEX" (Registration number: 1027700229193 / Tax number: 7736207543) in any other way without the prior consent of Yandex.

3.6. Yandex has the right to restrict the Customer's access to the functionality of the Service for providing generative responses if the number of Users using such functionality exceeds 1,000,000 per day. The number of Users is determined based on Yandex Statistics and other data, unless the Customer provides other evidence that properly confirms the number of Users. At the same time, the choice of the data source on the number of Users using certain functionality of the Service is in any case carried out by Yandex at its discretion.
