Terms of Use of Yandex Data Transfer Service
This document contains specific Terms of Use of Yandex Data Transfer Service (“the Service”) and is an integral part of Yandex.Cloud Customer Agreement (“Agreement”) and Service Terms set forth at https://yandex.com/legal/cloud_service_terms. Capitalized terms used herein but not defined herein shall have the meanings set forth in Agreement and Linked Documents.
1. Functional Features of the Service
1.1. The Service allows the Customer to implement data transfer between DBMSs, object storages and Message Brokers. A full description of the functional features of the Service is contained in the Instructions for using the Service posted on the Site.
1.2. As part of the Service, the following features are provided to the Customer:
1.2.1. transfer of databases to the Platform resources;
1.2.2. database consolidation and separation;
1.2.3. organization of backup data storage in the data repository;
1.2.4. other features of the Service that Yandex, at its discretion, makes available to the Customer. The list of functional features is available to Customer on the Site and/or in the Management Console.
1.3. The service level of the Service is determined in accordance with the Service Level Agreement.
2. Tariffication of the Service
2.1. The use of the Service is chargeable.
2.2. The cost of using the Service is determined in accordance with the Service Rates and billing units specified on the Site. Yandex may change Service Rates as stipulated by Agreement.
2.3. The cost of the Service depends on the number of data strings transferred.
2.4. As part of the Service, the volume of outgoing traffic and the volume of resources consumed by the Transfer are additionally charged.
2.5. Yandex may from time to time provide the Customer with additional functional features of the Service for an additional fee.
2.6. As part of the Service, the Customer may be offered special prices and discounts to be published on the Site and/or Management Console (if applicable).
3. Limitations on the use of the Service
3.1. The Service may provide for other restrictions listed on the Site (the Quotas and Limits section).
Terms and definitions
Capitalized terms used in the Terms and not defined in the Offer or the terms of use of other Services shall have the following meanings:
Transfer refers to the process of moving data between a data source system and a data receiver system. Each transfer is located in the same directory as the Endpoints for the receiver and source systems.
Endpoint means a configuration for connecting to a data source system or a data receiver system. In addition to connection settings, Endpoint may contain information about what data will be involved in the transfer and how it should be processed during the transfer.
DBMS means Database Management System.
Message Broker means software that allows applications, systems, and services to exchange information messages with each other.
