Yandex Oy Mäntsälä is looking for a Senior Server Hardware Specialist for our team.

Our data center has been operating and growing rapidly in Finland since 2014.

We want you to be IT-oriented, pay close attention to detail, work well in a team or individually, be self-motivated, be able to multi-task, and work comfortably within tight deadlines.

• Work on server hardware on a daily basis solving firmware- and hardware-based issues
• Install and upgrade hardware upon request from services
• Install network infrastructure and set up switches for services
• Be involved in project tasks for IT infrastructure
• Test new hardware designed by Yandex
• Create documents and processes for working with new hardware
• Maintain infrastructure for services

• 3+ years of experience working with server hardware
• Ability to localize problems fast and solve them with ease
• Experience with enterprise-based network switches (install, setup)
• Experience with network fiber management
• Basic skills working with the Linux operating system and command line
• Excel experience (pivot tables, formulas, lists, graphs)
• Good spoken and written English skills
• Finnish nationality or permanent residence in Finland

• Experience in and knowledge of project planning
• Russian language skills
• Ability to diagnose and repair electronics at the component level (SMD)
• Willingness to work outside office hours on rare occasions
