Tasks that await you
- Project management, including refining product specifications, initiating project Work Breakdown Structures and schedules, assigning tasks to all members in ODMs
- Monitoring all project activities, including but not limited to ID/MD/HW/SW/Pack/Certificate/Pilot Run/Ramp-up/MP, take responsibility for the product's aesthetic impact, and apply risk management skills for project implementation
- Product development — guiding projects from planning to production, including by managing the operations of Yandex R&D and ODMs RD&NPI teams, evaluating technical and business risks, and developing risk mitigation alternatives
- Developing, negotiating, and executing a part and assembly quality strategy with an understanding of product techniques to drive supplier capabilities and enhance product quality
- Cross-functional support, including working with Yandex product development and operation teams for evaluations, development, and production
- Leading the on-site management of product manufacturing partners to manage development builds, risk mitigation, ramp-up, and on-time delivery
- Leading and supporting process setup and improvement internally and on the ODM side (through review, audit, and monitoring), ensuring effective and smart management with process control on the system, operation, and project side
We expect that you
- Have a bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably with a major in engineering (Mechanical/SW/HW)
- Have 10 or more years of experience with consumer electronic products, components, and manufacturing processes
- Have a strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Can demonstrate examples of your leadership and ability to influence others
- Have Chinese HSK 4 and English C1 proficiency
- Based in Shenzhen
It'd be a plus if you
- Have an MBA
- Have five or more years of experience in the top 10 brands of Mobile, PC, TV, and IT companies
