Yandex is currently seeking a Legal Counsel with three or more years of PQE to support our AdTech products, B2B/B2C online services, and marketing projects. Excellent command of English is one of the main requirements for this position.

• draft, review, and counsel on a wide range of commercial transactions and contract needs for different companies within the Yandex group, mainly focusing on AdTech projects (DSP/SSP/AdExchange/AdServing and related B2B/B2C services);
• provide pragmatic day-to-day strategic advice to mitigate legal risks while ensuring excellent business-oriented results;
• draft clear and concise terms and conditions, terms of use, and policies for new and existing services, “field test” them by being in charge of negotiations with clients and partners;
• manage outside counsel on complex research issues.

• a law degree from a top-tier Russian university and more than three years of relevant PQE (degree from a foreign law school preferred);
• excellent command of English, both written and verbal (any additional language preferred);
• solid risk assessment skills;
• thorough knowledge of legal research skills;
• proven ability to apply known legal principles to an unfamiliar set of facts;
• competence and confidence to influence, persuade, communicate, and negotiate;
• demonstrated track record in contract negotiation and managing relationships with outside counsel;
• excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask;
• experience cooperating and participating as part of a global team in international and local projects.

• experience with an IT company or in AdTech/e-commerce projects.
