Draft, review, and negotiate software, database licensing, database alienation, and service agreements, including SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS, for Yandex Group companies
Provide legal support for technology development, exploitation, and commercialization, including reviews of author, outsource development, and data provision agreements
Provide legal support for the acquisition and disposal of intellectual property objects and data, including structuring template deals and drafting relevant agreements
Structure and draft documentation for complex deals, including joint development, software fork licenses, and M&A
Review and draft EULAs, terms of use, and other documents on IP law and corporate policy compliance
Provide legal support on open source matters, including expertise on free/open licenses
Advise on various intellectual property issues
Identify and mitigate legal risks related to IP issues
Analyze and develop positions on legislative initiatives for IT/IP
Draft instructions, guidelines, and FAQs
Closely interact with business, tax, compliance, marketing, GR, and PR teams
Communicate with and coordinate legal advisors
We expect that you
Law degree
Expertise in intellectual property and contract law
3+ years of post-qualification experience with a law firm or as in-house counsel with a company in the software development, telecom, or IT industries
Knowledge of and interest in IT (cloud technologies in particular) and e-commerce
Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills
Detail-oriented approach and ability to deliver professional results under pressure and within deadlines
Strong focus on delivering business value while mitigating any legal risks involved
Proven skills as a self-motivated team player with flexibility, independent judgment, and a business-oriented approach
Experience cooperating with and working as part of a global legal team on international and local projects
Fluent legal English, both written and verbal
