Head of Commerce
In a nutshell, you will be the Head of Commerce for a local startup in a new country. This is a unique opportunity for a self-driven, fast-paced professional willing to design a go-to-market strategy, build teams, scale, and deliver a business in a country. You will play a crucial role in building our business.

The Head of Commerce will not be making that journey alone, as your direct reports will include local professionals as well as other local and HQ team members. You will report directly to the country manager.

Tasks that await you

  • Own the demand side of the business, including business development, sales, account management, pricing policy, integrations, and strategic partnerships
  • Build and lead the demand team by hiring the best sales, business development, and account management professionals and guiding them to excellence
  • Design and initiate short- and long-term work plans for achieving aggressive business growth to rapidly scale and capture market share
  • Identify new sources of business growth
  • Develop personal connections and maintain business relationships with top clients, serving as their main contact person
  • Monitor client growth, manage their expectations, up-sell and cross-sell our product portfolio, and ensure a complex and effective pricing policy
  • Design and continuously improve processes and tools that impact operational efficiency for sales: CRM, dashboards, metrics, KPIs, and playbooks
  • Work with the supply side (operations team) to identify operational needs for key customers and design their preferred solutions
  • Collaborate with product, operations, and support teams to ensure client needs are the central axis of the collaboration

We expect that you

  • Have experience in building and leading a team, inspiring people, and naturally winning their trust
  • Possess flawless communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Have a track record of successfully delivering complex business initiatives
  • Understand unit economics, technology-driven marketplaces, operational efficiency, marketing, and finance
  • Demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit and a preference for start-up environments over corporate structures
  • Are able to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is the norm
  • Employ a data-driven approach to decision-making, are very comfortable with analytics, and can see the story behind the numbers
  • Are fluent in both local languages and English

It'd be a plus if you

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree or have equivalent practical experience.
  • Have one to five years of experience in sales, business development, or strategic partnerships
  • Possess three to five years of experience in a rapidly growing tech startup or a top-tier consulting company
