Yango is a rapidly growing ride-hailing platform, an international arm of Yandex Taxi. We hold a leading position in the countries where we have a presence, especially in Africa. You will be part of a quickly growing fleet development team, where you will drive projects end-to-end in the areas of your responsibility. Our role is to make sure we have fleet partners in the countries where we have a presence while also ensuring that partners have access to financing, a variety of vehicle purchase options, and our platform, where they can operate their fleet and grow their business.

Originate and lead fleet development in the countries assigned to you

• Manage 2-3 countries where you are the main person for all fleet-building
• Establish relationships with prospective and existing partners, ideate and design creative fleet growth initiatives, and take full responsibility for execution with support from local and HQ colleagues
• Help existing fleet partners improve business efficiency and unlock growth opportunities

Take responsibility for vehicle sourcing for all countries where Yango has a presence

• Be a go-to person whenever any of our partners need vehicles, establishing strong ties with car manufacturers, large dealers, importers, logistics companies, and customs clearing agencies
• Communicate and stay in touch with different vendors, negotiate the best prices for vehicles, and organize an end-to-end vehicle import process, from negotiations with OEMs to controlling actual delivery and clearance

• 3+ years of experience in business development, strong business acumen
• Experience in the ride-hailing industry, working for an auto dealer, importer, or manufacturer
• Previous involvement in sourcing large vehicle quantities, negotiations with sellers, and dealing with logistics and customs
• Outstanding interpersonal skills that allow you to quickly establish a relationship with anyone
• Ability to work in the fast-paced environment of a “to-the-moon” startup with real responsibility and the opportunity to make a difference
• Well-developed project management skills, ability to manage various internal and external stakeholders from all over the world
