Electrical Engineer (Shenzhen, China)

Yandex Market is searching for an experienced Electrical Engineer for its R&D team in Shenzhen to lead audio product design and development, circuit design and simulation, component selection and evaluation, and audio quality testing and calibration. In this role, you will collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and high-performance electrical systems for consumer audio products.

Monitoring trends and leading research
You will monitor industrial trends, evaluate new components, run competitor analysis, and lead advanced research in audio product EE design.

Defining processes and documentation
You will build and maintain an EE component database and establish EE design processes and guidelines.

Designing circuits and performing simulations
You will design electrical systems for audio products; create schematics, circuit diagrams, and layouts, and perform simulations to verify circuit functionality and performance.

Conducting reviews and refining prototypes
You will lead design reviews and DFM to ensure optimal design and early risk identification. You will also develop and test audio product prototypes, validate electrical designs, and refine them based on test results and team feedback.

Sourcing and testing components
You will collaborate with suppliers to source high-quality, spec-compliant components and lead system-level and component-level testing and validation.

Ensuring compliance and managing certification
You will ensure electrical designs meet safety and regulatory standards and assist with product certification processes.

Supporting builds and cross-functional coordination
You will support managing each build from preparation to finish to ensure timely issue resolution. You will also serve as the primary point of contact for electrical engineering within cross-functional teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals and timelines.

• Have a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field
• Are fluent in Chinese and English
• Have 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering with a focus on audio products
• Have a proven record of successful design of mass volume (million-level) products
• Have experience in EE architecture design and a broad background in modular EE design
• Possess in-depth knowledge of audio electronics, signal processing, DSP algorithm implementation, RF design and simulation, and power management design
• Are proficient in analog and digital circuit design for audio
• Understand AI architecture (experience in AI product design is a plus)
• Are skilled in circuit simulation tools and knowledgeable about PCB design principles and layout tools
• Know audio product safety and regulatory standards (FCC, CE, UL)
• Have experience with EMC/EMI testing and troubleshooting
• Understand the development process of new products
