Our team has a strong focus on offering a unique customer experience. We do this by using the data we generate across the globe to understand our customers better than any other micro-mobility provider. The objective of this role is to help us revolutionize the business by getting an understanding of our fleet and bringing our customers’ experience to the next level. As a Data Scientist, you will build models based on machine learning that can be applied to different fields.
Here are some notable examples:

• Scooter-rebalancing algorithms. This involves detecting the most profitable geographies and devising optimization procedures to relocate scooters, accounting for relocation costs, demand, user behavior, and other variables.
• User feedback analysis. This involves natural language processing, distributional semantics, and deep learning.
• Improving our current helmet detection system. This involves computer vision and deep learning algorithms.

• Transform business questions into models and PoCs (Where should we position our scooters? What type of users do X? What would happen if Y?)
• Connect with our business experts and understand where data science can make a difference, originating new PoCs and applications
• Ideate, prototype, and continuously refine models around our key business challenges and opportunities
• Push your best work to production
• Mentor, advise, and support other Data Analysts and Scientists
• Collaborate with the team’s Data Engineers to process the right data with the right shape by identifying data features and extracting them

• 5+ years of experience working as a Data Scientist and/or Machine Learning Engineer
• STEM degree
• Understanding of different machine learning algorithms, ability to identify the ones with the best chance of solving our problems
• Ability to prototype quickly and present results to broad audiences
• Experience pushing data science applications to production (including automated training, creating a serving layer for the model, and packaging the model into a container)
• Substantial knowledge of one or more programming languages (Python, R, Scala)
• Substantial SQL experience
• Professional working proficiency in English
