Yandex is looking for a Chief Accountant to manage the finances of our legal entity in Turkey (without relocation); perform local, tax, and corporate accounting; and establish and execute control policies/procedures. • Manage all accounting operations in corporate systems, including timely financial statements and regulatory reporting
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and reporting, including all consolidated accounting modules
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
• Lead the integration of new business with corporate and local accounting systems from a finance perspective
• Liaise with senior management and peers in business, finance, and IT to lead the design and development of systems to improve and automate processes
• Liaise with internal and external auditors
• Reconcile balance sheets and P&L accounts regularly
• Manage all requests to and from local tax advisors and outsourcers, including payroll and social package providers
• Lead all financial processes and procedures, including purchasing for local entities and docflow for local and management accounting, support business requests from a finance perspective
• Support month-/year-end close processes

• Fluency in English, Russian, and Turkish
• Proven experience as a financial controller/chief accountant in Turkey
• 5+ years of overall finance experience, including at an international corporation
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• Experience with general ledger functions and month-/year-end close processes
• Advanced Excel proficiency
• ERP experience
• Strong influencing, facilitation, and communication skills
• Forward-thinking approach and commitment to improving management accounting processes

• Accounting degree
• Experience working with Oracle
