Turbo on desktop β

Attention. Desktop Turbo pages are in beta testing.
A desktop Turbo page has a three column layout:
  • Related articles from the automatic recommendations feed and an ad block are displayed in the left column. The column position is fixed on the page.
  • The main content is in the center.
  • The right column features the ad block. The column position is fixed on the page.

Setting up columns

To configure the display of columns:

  1. In Yandex.Webmaster, go to the Turbo pages for content sites → Settings → Turbo on desktop page.
  2. In the Columns block, choose the number of columns. Possible values:
    • 1 — Only the central column is displayed.
    • 2 — Only the central and the right columns are displayed.
    • 3 — All columns are displayed.
      Note. The number of columns can be less than the one selected in the settings. If the screen resolution is small, two or one column will be displayed.
  3. Save your changes.
  4. Check the columns display in the example.

Turning on desktop Turbo pages

To turn on desktop Turbo pages, do the following:

  1. Connect mobile Turbo pages. For more information, see the Turning on Turbo pages section.
  2. (optional) Set up logo, ads, menu, CSS, and search.
  3. In Yandex.Webmaster, go to the Turbo pages for content sites → Settings → Turbo on desktop page.
  4. Set Enable Turbo pages on desktop to On and click Save.
  5. Check if the Turbo pages are available in the search results after 5 minutes.

Turning off desktop Turbo pages

To turn off desktop Turbo pages:

  1. In Yandex.Webmaster, go to the Turbo pages for content sites → Settings → Turbo on desktop page.
  2. Set Enable Turbo pages on desktop to Off and click Save.

Turbo pages will disappear from search in about 5 minutes. Links to regular pages will be displayed instead.
