When ad creatives are reviewed

Every submitted creative undergoes manual and automated review to ensure it meets Yandex's requirements for advertising content and the Federal Law "On Advertising".

To submit your ad content (creatives) for moderation, simply place a bid using the creative. Pre-moderation checks run immediately after a new campaign starts. Creatives are approved for serving if they comply with local laws and Yandex's advertising policies. Note that once the first bid in a new campaign is submitted, the DSP can't change its ad creatives.

How long moderation takes

Once they enter moderation, creatives are typically reviewed within 3–6 hours. If more than 6 hours have passed and your creative hasn't been reviewed, please contact us at newpartners@yandex-team.ru.

How to prevent delays in creative review

  1. Keep in mind that the unique key of your creative is the following combination: cid + crid + adid + size + domain.
  2. If the creatives are the same, don't change the identifiers that are part of the creative key (cid, crid, adid) for each bid.
  3. Structure your ad campaign so that all creatives from a single advertiser (adomain) share a single campaign ID (cid). To separate creatives inside the same campaign, use the crid and adid fields.

How to make effective bids

Bidding with an ad creative that was rejected or wasn't reviewed can cause you to lose RTB auctions. To optimize bidding performance, implement lurl notifications. Learn more in Help.

If you have questions about review status, encounter any issues, or need to upload documents for regulated ad categories in Russia (see the full list under Promotion categories), complete this form or contact your account manager. Be sure to include your campaign ID (cid).
