Filling out the **Draft** tab is one of the key stages of [uploading a game](https://yandex.com/dev/games/doc/en/console/add-new-game.md) to the Yandex Games catalog. The tab is divided into two sections:

- [General](#general): fields with basic information about the game that doesn't change depending on the language.
- [Description and promotion](#description-and-promotion): texts, images, and videos used for promotion in the catalog and advertising networks.

Fields that are required to fill out are marked with **<span class="red">*</span>** next to their names.

{% note tip %}

Tooltips are located to the right of all fields. To see them, hover your cursor over ![SVG](../../_images/icons/question-mark.svg)</svg>.

### Description and promotion {#description-and-promotion}

By default, the Console has the main languages set — Russian and English. You can:

- Add localization in another language — click ![SVG](../../_images/icons/add-purchase.svg) and select the desired language from the list.
- Remove an unused language — click ![SVG](../../_images/icons/delete-button.svg) to the right of it.

The description must be filled out for each of the selected languages. To switch to a draft in another language, select the corresponding tab. On each tab, you can evaluate the [card completeness](https://yandex.com/dev/games/doc/en/concepts/ranking-and-featuring.md): the more complete the description, the better the game is promoted.

To simplify publishing in other languages, use the [AI descriptions](https://yandex.com/dev/games/doc/en/concepts/languages-and-domains.md#ai-descriptions) feature. Add a description in English, and the system will automatically create translations based on it.

{% note info %}

Before the game is published, the **I want to enable AI descriptions** option is enabled by default. It is displayed at the bottom of the page.

{% endnote %}

You can download creatives from the draft in their original quality. To do this:
1. Hover your cursor over the desired material.
2. In the bottom right corner, click ![SVG](../../_images/icons/download.svg)</svg> **Download image** / **Download video**.

## Step 1. Technical parameters {#technical}

Upload the game archive and specify technical parameters.

### Version {#version}

You can specify the version name; by default, the name of the first version is 0.0.0.1.

### Archive <span class="red">*</span> {#field-archive}

Upload a ZIP archive with the game.

Archive requirements:

- The root contains a single `index.html` file.
- The uncompressed archive content weighs no more than 100 MB.

{% note warning %}

Do not use spaces or Cyrillic characters in file and folder names (see [item 1.22](https://yandex.com/dev/games/doc/en/concepts/requirements.md#1-22) of the Game Requirements).

{% endnote %}

Games from the catalog are recommended to be stored on the Yandex server. If your game requires a complex server architecture (for example, to support multiplayer mode), you can request integration via `iframe`.

<!-- source: en/_includes/console/iframe.md -->
To do this, write to the [support chat](https://yandex.com/chat/#/user/a4fa5c06-75db-9b38-6eea-b1673785f7d5){.external}. In your request, specify the game name, developer account, a link to the game in `https` format, and a justification for why you want to use `iframe` instead of adding the game via an archive.
<!-- endsource: en/_includes/console/iframe.md -->

### Supported platforms <span class="red">*</span> {#field-supported-platforms}

A list of supported platforms that will be used for automatic filtering of games in the Yandex Games catalog. For example, if only the **Mobile** → **iOS** platform is selected, the game will not be shown to users on Android and desktop platforms.

Select the platforms to which the game has been ported:

- **Desktop**
- **Mobile**

  To select an OS, click ![SVG](../../_images/icons/lock-platforms-mobile.svg)</svg>:

  - **iOS**
  - **Android**

- **TV**

{% note warning %}

If the iOS platform is selected, an **Apple Team ID** field will appear. According to Apple's rules ([section 4.7.2](https://developer.apple.com/app-store/review/guidelines/){.external}), this field must be filled in for the application to be available to iOS users.

You can view your ID in [Apple's Developer Center](https://developer.apple.com/account/){.external} → **Account** → **Membership** → **Team ID**.

{% endnote %}

### Orientation <span class="red">*</span> {#field-orientation}

Select the orientation in which the game will work:

- **Portrait** — vertical screen position.
- **Landscape** — horizontal screen position.
- **Any** — if the game displays correctly in both orientations.

If the **Portrait** or **Landscape** option is selected, in the unsupported orientation the user will see an SDK placeholder asking them to rotate the screen.

## Step 2. Metadata {#metadata}

Specify game metadata. It affects the game's visibility in the catalog.

### Recommended localization languages {#field-recommended-lang}

{% note tip %}

We recommend translating the game into English and Russian.

To pass moderation, it's not necessary to fill out the draft in every language, but this affects the game's visibility in other countries. Add metadata in English so that more users around the world can see the game.

{% endnote %}

### Game translated into <span class="red">*</span> {#field-languages}

For the game to successfully open in the corresponding localization, specify the languages into which the application has been translated ([item 8.2.3](https://yandex.com/dev/games/doc/en/concepts/requirements.md#8-2-3)): select from the dropdown list or start typing the name. Moderation will check whether the game supports all declared languages.

#### Auto-detection of language {#add-lang}

To automatically determine which language to display the game for the user, use the portal language specified in the [i18n.lang](https://yandex.com/dev/games/doc/en/sdk/sdk-environment.md#structure-i18n) parameter from the Yandex Games SDK.

You can check if auto-detection is implemented correctly using the debug panel. For more information, see the [verification methodology](https://yandex.com/dev/games/doc/en/requirements/2/14.md) for item 2.14.

{% note warning %}

Auto-detection of language is mandatory ([item 2.14](https://yandex.com/dev/games/doc/en/concepts/requirements.md#2-14)), but the game may have a setting to switch to another language manually.

{% endnote %}

#### Testing the game in different languages {#testing}

1. Launch the game with the [debug panel](https://yandex.com/dev/games/doc/en/console/debug-panel.md#debug-panel-on).
1. Click the [tools button](https://yandex.com/dev/games/doc/en/console/debug-panel.md#tools-button) **SDK mocks** ⚒️.
1. In the dropdown list, select the desired language. The game will open in it in a new tab.

{% note tip %}

To open the game immediately in the desired language for testing, on the **Draft** tab in the **Game translated into** field, click the selected language. The game will open in it in a new tab.

{% endnote %}

### Age rating <span class="red">*</span> {#field-age-rating}

Specify the [age restriction](https://yandex.com/dev/games/doc/en/requirements/2/7.md) for your game.

### Categories <span class="red">*</span> {#field-category}

Categories are the genres to which the game belongs.

You can select no more than two categories.

### Tags {#field-tags}

Tags describing the features of your game.

You can add up to 20 tags.

### Keywords {#field-keywords}

A list of keywords by which users will be able to find the game through Yandex Search.

Words are specified only in lowercase and separated by commas.

Maximum number of characters in the field — 100.

## Step 3. Additional parameters {#additional}

Specify additional game functionality and configure publication.

### The game use cloud save {#field-cloud-saves}

Enable this option if the game uses the [setData() and setStats()](https://yandex.com/dev/games/doc/en/sdk/sdk-player.md#ingame-data) methods of the `Player` object.

### Postpone publication {#field-delay}

This option allows you to postpone the publication of the game. The application will be sent for moderation but will not be published after passing it. You can publish the game using the **Publish** button.

If the **Postpone publication** option is enabled, specify the reason for postponing publication in the **Postpone publication comment** field. The reason can be simple. For example, you can write that you plan to release the game on a specific day.

### Developer’s comment {#field-comment}

This field will be seen by moderation staff.

Write about non-standard technical solutions or features of filling out the draft. For example:
- If progress is not saved after each user action or by a special button and you use [other save mechanics](https://yandex.com/dev/games/doc/en/requirements/1/9.md).
- If you do not want to monetize the game, write that [monetization through YAN](https://yandex.com/dev/games/doc/en/requirements/1/12.md) is not provided and there are no ads in the game.

Maximum comment length — 2048.

## Step 4. Text materials {#description}

In the **Description** section, add text materials for the game that will be used in the catalog and search results.

### Title <span class="red">*</span> {#field-title}

The name of the game that will be displayed in the Developer Console and Yandex Games catalog.

- Maximum length — 50 characters (including punctuation and spaces).

- The name must start with a capital letter. Full or partial caps are prohibited: this violates the rules of the English language and [item 8.2.1](https://yandex.com/dev/games/doc/en/concepts/requirements.md#8-2-1) of the Game Requirements.

- The name must be unique within the [Yandex Games catalog](https://yandex.com/games/){.external}, otherwise the game will be considered a duplicate regardless of its content ([item 3.6](https://yandex.com/dev/games/doc/en/concepts/requirements.md#3-6)).

- If you use a proper name written in Latin characters as the title, it can be used in all languages. If you localize the title, it must be the same across all materials in each specific language ([item 5.1.3](https://yandex.com/dev/games/doc/en/concepts/requirements.md#5-1-3)).

{% note info %}

If you change the game name after publication, update it on the cover and promotional materials. After that, the game will go through moderation again.

{% endnote %}

### SEO description {#field-seo}

A brief description of the game that will be displayed in the information block on the Yandex search page. To attract users, write coherent and clear text about the features of your game.

Minimum text length — 50 characters; maximum — 160 (including punctuation and spaces).

Writing recommendations:

- Start with a keyword.
- Describe a unique advantage to make users want to click the link.
- Add a call to action.
- End with a period or exclamation mark.
- Do not duplicate in the text:

  - The title.
  - Content in the game.
  - Texts from the **Description** and **How to play** fields.

- Do not add special characters `(=/\+_` in the middle of the text. You can use graphic symbols, such as ✧, to attract user attention.

### Description <span class="red">*</span> {#field-about}

A description of the game that will be displayed on the game page in the Yandex Games catalog. Tell about the features of your game: unique features, number of levels, and other aspects that can interest users.

Minimum text length — 100 characters; maximum — 1000 (including punctuation and spaces).

### Short description {#field-short-description}

A short description of the game that will be displayed in thematic collections in the Yandex Games catalog. Tell about the key feature of the game or attract attention with a slogan.

Maximum text length — 70 characters (including punctuation and spaces).

Content requirements:

- Start with a capital letter.
- Do not duplicate the game name.
- Do not use the words "free", "in English".
- Do not enclose the entire description in quotation marks («» or "").

### How to play <span class="red">*</span> {#field-how-to-play}

Instructions for the game that will be displayed in the Yandex Games catalog. Tell about the rules and goals of the game.

Minimum text length — 100 characters; maximum — 1000 (including punctuation and spaces).

## Step 5. Visual materials {#icon-and-cover}

In the **Icon and cover** section, upload visual materials that will represent the game in the catalog and special collections.

{% note warning %}

If an [A/B test of icons](https://yandex.com/dev/games/doc/en/concepts/ab-test.md) is active, you will not be able to submit a draft with changed icon or cover for moderation. Such a change will affect the control group and make the experiment results unreliable.

{% endnote %}

### Icon <span class="red">*</span> {#field-icon}

The game icon that will be displayed in the Yandex Games catalog and advertising materials.

Size — 512 × 512 pixels.

Format — PNG.

We recommend using:

- Bright colors to attract players' attention.
- Simple associations: if your game is Tetris, it's better to show recognizable colored shapes on the icon.

### Maskable icon {#field-maskable-icon}

An icon ready for use with a [mask](*mask). Such an icon should have a circular [safe zone](https://w3c.github.io/manifest/#icon-masks){.external} in the center of the icon, in which all important elements of the icon are inscribed, as everything else will be hidden when the mask is applied.

{% note tip %}

Check the display in the [editor](https://maskable.app/){.external}. If the icon is configured correctly, it will be fully visible after applying the mask.

{% endnote %}

### Cover <span class="red">*</span> {#field-cover}

The game cover that will be displayed in the Yandex Games catalog.

Size — 800 × 470 pixels.

Format — PNG.

### Hero Image {#field-hero-image}

Cover that will be displayed in special game collections.

Size — 1560 × 520 pixels.

Format — PNG or JPG.

## Step 6. Promotional materials {#gameplay-video}

In the **Gameplay Video** section, upload videos and other materials for game promotion. They will be placed in the Yandex Games catalog and other entry points to attract user attention. In the video, demonstrate gameplay elements, advantages, and features of the game.

### Vertical video {#field-gameplay-video}

- Aspect ratio — 9 : 16.
- Format — MP4.
- Height — from 400 pixels.
- Duration — up to 28 seconds.
- Size — up to 100 MB.

### Horizontal video {#field-horizontal-video}

- Aspect ratio — 16 : 9.
- Format — MP4.
- Height — from 400 pixels.
- Duration — up to 28 seconds.
- Size — up to 100 MB.

### Gif {#field-gif-image}

{% note info %}

This field is deprecated. Filling it out is not required.

{% endnote %}

- Aspect ratio — 16 : 9.
- Maximum size — 600 KB.

### Screenshots <span class="red">*</span> {#field-screenshots}

Upload screenshots that clearly illustrate the features of the game. These images will be placed on the game page in the catalog.

You can upload screenshots of two types — depending on the device from which they were taken:

- **Mobile**
- **Desktop**

To upload screenshots of different types, select the desired device type from the dropdown list.

To view uploaded screenshots, click on any of them, and they will open in a modal window.

#### Screenshot orientation {#field-screenshots-orientation}

Desktop screenshots can only be in landscape orientation.

For mobile screenshots, select the orientation: landscape or portrait. Upload only screenshots that match the selected orientation. To change the orientation of screenshots, first delete the old materials from the **Add screenshots** field.

#### Add screenshots <span class="red">*</span> {#field-add-screenshots}

You can only upload screenshots that match the specified parameters:

- Proportions for screenshots:

  - Landscape orientation — 16 × 9.
  - Portrait orientation — 9 × 16.

- Size — from 1280 to 2560 pixels (on the long side).
- Format — JPEG or 24-bit PNG.

You need to upload at least 2 screenshots for each selected platform (**Mobile**, **Desktop**).

### Advertising videos {#field-advertising-videos}

The service will use these videos to promote the game.

Advertising videos should be attractive and engaging. They can show not just one game session, but the most colorful and interesting moments, with appropriate transitions and animations added.

You can upload up to 20 videos, and Yandex's auto-strategies will select the best ones.
