Movie Tickets Available on Yandex.Afisha

Internet, October 12, 2011. Yandex.Afisha now offers its users the opportunity to buy movie tickets. Anyone planning a trip to the movies with their friends, kids or someone special can now choose seats and buy as many tickets as they want to right online at Yandex.

“Buying movie tickets on Yandex.Afisha is a good way to save time and effort,” says Vasiliy Maksimov, manager of the project. “For one thing, you won’t find yourself in a situation when you are already there but there are no tickets available. And the other thing is that you don’t have to queue up for the tickets at the ticket office if you have purchased them using the service.”

Currently, Yandex.Afisha offers tickets for over 80 movie theaters in 20 cities across Russia including those belonging to the largest movie theater chains, including KARO FILM, KinoMax and Cinema Park. The tickets can be paid for using a bank card or Yandex.Money.

The new feature has been implemented in partnership with the Rambler-Kassa service.
