Yandex.Direct Offers New Payment Options

Internet, August 3, 2011. Yandex has expanded the range of payment options for its contextual advertising service Yandex.Direct. From now on, thousands of cash desks, payment terminals and ATMs across Russia that accept payments to Yandex.Money accounts can also process payments for advertising campaigns on Yandex.Direct.

With the new payment options, it has become much easier for Yandex.Direct users to pay for their online ads. It is possible to pay with cash, using credit or debit cards, or via online banking systems. Currently, payments for ads placed via Yandex.Direct are accepted, for example, at cash desks of consumer electronics retailer Euroset or mobile retailer Svyaznoy, or at Sberbank’s numerous payment terminals throughout the country. Most of Yandex.Money’s payment agents accept payments with no commission charges.

“Yandex.Money has many partners that allow people to fund their digital wallets. We decided to use this extensive and safe infrastructure for processing other payments as well,” says Alexei Tretyakov, Chief Commercial Officer at Yandex. “We are positive this is good news both for the Yandex.Direct customers who now have more payment options, and for our payment agents who will increase their revenue by attracting more customers”.

Yandex invites all providers of payment-processing services to become its commercial services partners.
