Yandex.Money Accepts Bank Cards Issued in CIS

Internet, March 31, 2011. Starting today, the Yandex.Money users in the CIS countries can make fast, safe and fee-free online payments using their bank cards. This option became available for the system’s users in Russia a month ago.

Having linked the bank card to the Yandex.Money account, the users paying for something online do not have to provide any information other than their Yandex.Money password and the card’s CVV2/СVC2 number. The system makes an instant fee-free fund transfer from the user’s bank account to the vendor. This option is available to any bank card holder whose bank operates in any of the CIS countries.

A bank card linked to the Yandex.Money account allows customers to pay for products or services at any moment without bothering about their online balance. Yandex.Money can conveniently be used to pay for music, books, calls on Skype, or for virtual gifts in a social network. Currently, the Yandex.Money online payment system supports thousands of web shops in Russia and all over the world.

In addition to the new option, the Yandex.Money users in most of the CIS countries can enjoy all key services offered by the system. They can transfer funds between accounts, top them up and withdraw cash. To facilitate payments in international stores, Yandex.Money offers a virtual payment card in US dollars or euros. The online payment system Yandex.Money has been operating in Russia since 2002. In March this year, the system’s services became available to the users in the CIS countries.

Yandex.Money is the largest online payment system operating in the ruble segment of the e-payment market. Every day, the system adds on average over 8,000 new accounts and has 80,000 payments for products and services.
