More Panoramic Views on Yandex.Maps

Internet, May 17, 2010. Yandex.Maps rolled out panoramic views for Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara and Chelyabinsk. The new cities have expanded the list of city maps with panoramic views, which already includes Moscow, Saint Petersburg and Kiev.

Panoramic views option allows to take a tour around the city and see the Kazan Kremlin or (( http://maps.yandex.ru/-/CFVPMeq the buildings of Chelyabinsk State University)). Using this option, virtual travelers can explore the city and find exciting points of interest like this Roman Catholic Church in Samara, or this retro car in Nizhny Novgorod. The service is also handy for navigation purposes as it shows what a particular building or road junction looks like.

The new panoramic views have been created in partnership with City Scanner. The street images in the four new cities cover more than two thousand kilometers.

In addition to panoramic views, Yandex.Maps offers detailed city maps with satellite images, metro maps and maps of road junctions. Other available features include business search and traffic map.
