In April 2018, Yandex.Metrica hosted the first MeasureCamp in Russia. MeasureCamp is an analytics event that regularly takes place in different cities around the world. It is an “unconference” in that the program is put together on the fly, and speakers are self-nominated. We were thrilled to help MeasureCamp Moscow happen! Here’s a quick recap of the event.

Topics discussed were predictive analytics solutions in Yandex.Metrica, working with data visualization in Power BI and Google Data Studio, filtering out fraudulent traffic, calculating the actual cost of customer acquisition, building a multichannel analytics system, and some extremely practical questions like deciding on whether or not a company really needs a 360 Analytics suite.
Conversations also touched on professional growth and pain points in the analytics industry, such as how to develop an analytics career, what is expected of an analytics specialist by a CMO, and how to survive your most bitter failures.
