Currently, new profiles in Yandex Direct, by default, can maintain a general account of campaigns. As a result, all available funds from it are automatically distributed between campaigns.
Otherwise, there are scenarios when a business needs to keep a separate account for advertising campaigns. Of course, we have always opened this opportunity upon request. But after the launch of the Managing Account, most of the tasks for non-general accounts are solved with it. Therefore, this summer, we will stop supporting standalone billing for campaigns and focus on developing the manager account experience.
Manager account
In April, we announced a new level of access for managing campaigns across multiple accounts, the Manager account. It allows you to switch between different accounts and work with their advertising campaigns and statistics.
Closing a non-shared account
To prepare you for the changes, we plan to close the non-shared account in the middle of summer. We will automatically move all campaigns to shared account management on closing day. Now you can independently transfer your account to a shared account in the account menu on the right side by clicking on your login → Connect shared account.
If you need to manage a campaign account separately from the general account, transfer campaigns or merge them into one. After that, provide access to manage several such accounts using the Manager account and switch between them, replenishing and billing each account separately. In addition, you can control the budgets of individual campaigns using a weekly or daily limit, depending on the chosen ad display strategy.
We sent non-shared account users personalized emails with specific transfer points for their campaigns and will continue to keep them informed through mailing lists and reminders in the interface.
